Case study of suspected moldy metal kitchenware
Does the item that appears to be moldy really contain mold?
Sometimes, you can observe filamentous structures on items that appear to be moldy, which are the mycelium of molds. However, not all filamentous structures indicate the presence of mold! For example, filamentous structures on metal surfaces could be a result of corrosion. In this research paper, we will share the causes and methods to distinguish the filamentous structures that form on metal products, serving as a reference for your quality control.

Case study of moldy metal products
Have you ever seen mold growing on metal?
We might sometimes find mold on car parts, gear, metal chains or even eating utensils. But do you know what causes these to get moldy? As usual, water, temperature and a source of nutrients need to be present.
Let YCM Microbiology Research Center tell you where these nutrients are possibly coming from, and finally put an end to its growth on such products.
If you are facing this kind of problem or simply are interested, feel free to read the full article, or contact us directly for more knowledge sharing on mold prevention techniques!

Suspected mold contamination on textiles
Is every stain you notice a case of mold?
YCM Microbiology Research Center (MRC) concluded the answer is… not necessarily!
Sometimes stains observed can look similar to a mold spot, but this does not always end up being the case. Very often, it can be difficult to identify the differences at plain sight. Because of this common misjudgment, products are sometimes scrapped and remade, causing environmental pollution that could have been avoided.
For this, YCM MRC has developed an ISO-certified technical service that solves this kind of problems. In this new research article, we share about this case study in particular, for your reference.
If you think you might be facing a similar problem and want to investigate some more, feel free to read the full article, or contact us directly!

Case study of a textile product’s potential mold risk assessment
Are your raw materials and finished products at mold risk? Or did they quietly get moldy without you noticing it?
For these reasons, YCM Microbiology Research Center has developed a new technology: “Potential Mold Risk Assessment”, which allows us to analyze the potential mold risk of a batch of materials or finished products in a short period of time.
This technology can help customers to do quality control and detect mold risks before raw materials are put into production or finished products are packaged and shipped.
This research paper will share with you a successful case study of this new technology.
